Web Page View Source

Web users are able to take a look at other web site's HTML codes, other computer languages and other information that is provided directly to the browser. This can be done by visiting any web site and looking at the underlying information of web site. This is made possible by the "view source" tool on internet browsers. When an internet user visits any page they can look for a browser tool or link that says "view source" or "source", if they use it or click on it, it will open up an new window with the underlying codes to that page. Not all steps to getting the source data are the same since different internet browsers work differently.

For example, with Internet Explorer in order to use their "view source" you have to visit any web page and go to the "View" tab at the top left hand side of the browser. Then from "view" click "source" and the data is then displayed.

If that data is coped from view source to your web site, it will create a web page that looks the same.
